Andrea has proudly called Douglas County home for over 26 years. Raised in Waterville alongside four siblings, she grew up surrounded by agriculture, hard work, and a close-knit community that helped shape her values.
Today, Andrea is a mother of three young children and understands firsthand the importance of stability, efficiency, and strong community support systems. From a young age, she knew she wanted to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
That purpose became clear through her work serving the public. As the Douglas County court facilitator, Andrea discovered a passion for helping individuals navigate some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Whether assisting with complex paperwork or helping individuals navigate the court process, Andrea takes pride in making sure every person feels heard and supported.
Andrea’s dedication to her community doesn’t stop at the courthouse. As the Administrative Director and an EMT for Waterville ambulance, she plays a key role in ensuring her community is supported in times of need.

Andrea brings a well-rounded and hands-on understanding of the Clerk’s Office, built through years of direct service:
Nearly 2 years as a Court Facilitator and Financial Collections Officer
2 years managing financial operations, including daily till balancing
3 years as a Deputy Clerk
3 years managing the jury program and jury administration
Her experience spans all case types, including clerking trials, coordinating with attorneys, and assisting the public through complex legal processes. She has worked closely with partner agencies on protection orders, court procedures, and legal documentation.
Andrea has also played a key role in training staff, developing workflows, and ensuring cases are accurately created and managed across systems. Her ability to communicate clearly, stay organized, and support both staff and the public makes her uniquely prepared to lead.
Priorities
Andrea is running for Douglas County Clerk to improve how the office serves the people of Douglas County—making it more accessible, consistent, and compassionate.
1. Improve Customer Experience
Andrea believes the Clerk’s Office must be more user-friendly, especially for individuals navigating stressful legal situations. She will focus on simplifying processes, improving communication, and ensuring the public is treated with patience and respect.
2. Strengthen Staff Training & Retention
High turnover creates inconsistency and frustration for both staff and the public. Andrea will implement stronger training programs, clearer expectations, and consistent supervision to build a more stable and effective team.
3. Increase Efficiency & Consistency
By streamlining internal processes and improving communication, Andrea will work to ensure the Clerk’s Office operates smoothly and reliably—so residents can depend on timely and accurate service.
